The Student Success Center

The UW-Marinette Student Success Center promotes and supports the academic environment of UW-Marinette by offering a range of services such as tutoring, advising and study skills assistance both in math and writing disciplines. These services are provided to UW-Marinette students free of charge.

English & Writing

A writing tutor can discuss with you: brainstorming for a paper; homework assignments; interpreting or explaining teacher commentary on a paper; reviewing and helping with drafts; research strategies; citation, quoting, summarizing, paraphrasing; grammar; style; resumes; letters of application; etc.

English/Writing tutors are available at the following times at the Student Success Center: M-113 in the Main Building.

  • Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and from 2 - 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

UW Colleges Online Writing Lab

The Online Writing Lab (OWL) affords UW Colleges students the opportunity to email drafts of their writing to the OWL staff and receive feedback from a peer writing tutor. OWL is part of the Study-Center Tutoring Program at UW-Waukesha, which is certified by the College Reading & Learning Association, and is offered as a free service to all UW Colleges students.

Mathematics

If you are struggling with math, there are Math tutors and instructors available at the following times in the Student Success Center, M-113 in the Main Building.

  • Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
