Home town: Peshtigo

Jordan was a four year varsity player for Peshtigo. They were undefeated in conference play all four years.  Individually, Jordan led his team in rebounds, steals and blocked shots. He was a 1,000 point scorer for his career, was a two-time Player of the Year in the M&O Conference, two-time Offensive MVP and was a two-time 1st Team All Conference selection. He was a contributing member of the 2014-2015 Eastern Division championship team, with a divisional record of 9-1, and the 2015 State Tournament Championship team, with an overall record of 21-6. He was named to the 2nd Team All-Conference Men's Basketball Eastern Division. He is majoring in Mortuary Science with plans to transfer to Worsham. Jordan enjoys music and bowling. He is the son of John & Lisa Berth.

 

ChampeauTravis Champeau - Sophomore

Home town: Menominee

Travis played point guard and shooting guard on his high school varsity team as a junior and senior. Travis currently holds his high school’s record with 10 3-point baskets in one game. He plans to carry over his successful shooting in high school to the Buccaneers this season. Travis was also a member of the National Honor Society in high school. He was a contributing member of the 2014-2015 Eastern Division championship team, with a divisional record of 9-1, and the 2015 State Tournament Championship team, with an overall record of 21-6. He is majoring in Marketing and plans to transfer to Northern Michigan University to complete his studies. Travis enjoys sports and family. He is the son of Fran and Tracey Champeau.

 

Austin Kenas - Sophomore

Austin played football and golf during his senior year of high school. He is pursuing his Associates Degree in Business Science. Austin enjoys anything fun, but mainly sports. He likes watching and playing sports, hanging out with friends, fishing, working and anything outdoors. He is the son of Lori and Dan Landwehr.

Mark was named to the 2nd Team All-Conference for basketball and led his team to the first round of the state playoffs during his senior year. He is studying towards a degree in Social Work and plans on tranferring to UW-Oshkosh. Mark enjoys hanging out with family and friends. He is the son of Mark Lyons, Sr. and Sharon Lyons.

 

Austin GaleckiAustin Malecki - Sophomore 
Height: 6-2; Forward
Home town: Coleman

Austin played on his high school varsity team all four years and was a starter since his sophomore season. His best memories of his high school play include hitting game winning shots as a junior and senior. He was Honorable Mention All-Conference as a junior and team Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior. He was a contributing member of the 2014-2015 Eastern Division championship team, with a divisional record of 9-1, and the 2015 State Tournament Championship team, with an overall record of 21-6. He continues to work on the family farm while attending school and is undecided on his major. Austin enjoys hunting, sports and spending time with friends and family. He is the son of Mark and Jackie Malecki.

 

MatthewsJames Matthews - Freshman

In high school, James played point guard and shooting guard and scored 1,000 points his senior year. He served as Team Captain for the 2014-2015 season, was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 and was invited to play on the USA Team for the National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championship. He also won the MVP for Team USA. James is a Business major with plans to transfer to the University of Nevada - Reno. James enjoys basketball and computer science. He is the son of Hank Matthews and Bonnie Matthews.

 

Lekem McGeeLekem McGee - Freshman 
Height: 6-1; Guard
Home town: Chicago, IL

Lekem was named to the 2012 1st Team All-City IHSA and was a special mention All-State by the Chicago Tribune. He is pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy. Lekem loves collecting shoes and hats, spending time with his six siblings and boxing. He is the son of Anquinette McGee, who he credits as his motivation to stay in school. His father currently plays professionally overseas and attended DePaul University.

 

NeumannZach Neumann - Sophomore 
Height: 6-2; Guard
Home town: Peshtigo

Zack played on the varsity for four years. They were undefeated in conference play all four years.  He was a 1,000 point scorer. He was named Co-Player of the Year in the M & O Conference, was a two-time Offensive MVP and two-time 1st Team All-Conference selection.  Zack is a versatile player who can score inside and outside. He will also be a solid defender for the Bucs. He was a contributing member of the 2014-2015 Eastern Division championship team, with a divisional record of 9-1, and the 2015 State Tournament Championship team, with an overall record of 21-6 and was named to the All-Tournament Team. He is pursuing a degree in Special Education and plans to transfer to UW-Oshkosh. Zach enjoys sports of all kinds. He is the son of Rick and Terri Neumann.

 

Jared RivardJared Rivard - Sophomore
Height: 5-11; Guard
Home town: Menominee

Jared played most positions on the basketball court in high school. He was an All-Conference performer as a junior and senior. He led his team in points (14.1), rebounds (7.0) and blocks as a senior. Jared was also a standout football player earning Offensive MVP honors in the UP All Star football game and All-State recognition as a defensive back. Jared’s hustle on the court will earn him plenty of opportunities for the Buccaneers. Jared made the Dean’s List at Northern Michigan as a freshman in 2013. He was a contributing member of the 2014-2015 Eastern Division championship team, with a divisional record of 9-1, and the 2015 State Tournament Championship team, with an overall record of 21-6 and was named to the 2nd Team All-Conference Men's Basketball Eastern Division in 2014-2015. He is pursuing a degree in Finance. Jared enjoys basketball, football, hunting, fishing and video-gaming. He is the son of William and Jennifer Rivard.

 

Jeremy RivardJeremy Rivard - Sophomore

Home town: Menominee

Jeremy was a member of the 1st Team Great Northern Conference Football, received an All-State Special Mention for football and played in the UP All Star Football Game. He was on the Academic Dean's List during the fall semester of 2013 at Northern Michigan University. He is a Business major. Jeremy enjoys basketball, football, fishing, video-gaming and weightlifting. He is the son of William and Jennifer Rivard.

 

Casey WilsonCasey Wilson - Junior

Home town: Stephenson, MI

Casey played varsity basketball for three seasons, leading his team in rebounding every season. He will continue to be a major player in the paint for the Buccaneers. He is a solid performer on both ends of the court. He was a contributing member of the 2014-2015 Eastern Division championship team, with a divisional record of 9-1, and the 2015 State Tournament Championship team, with an overall record of 21-6, was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2015 and was named to the All-Conference Men's Basketball Eastern Division as an Honorable Mention in 2014-2015. Casey enjoys hunting. He is the son of Bill Wilson and Penny Wilson.
