Paula T. Langteau has been the Campus Executive Officer & Dean for the University of Wisconsin-Marinette since August 1, 2004.
Dean Langteau came to UW-Marinette from the position of Dean of Instruction at Nicolet Area Technical College in the Wisconsin Technical College System. Prior to her position at Nicolet, she was the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Georgia Perimeter College, in the University System of Georgia, serving 5 campuses in the metropolitan Atlanta area.
Before moving into administration, Langteau spent 12 years in the English department at Georgia Perimeter College (formerly DeKalb College) where she was tenured and promoted to Associate Professor of English.
At both Nicolet and GPC, Langteau's work focused on academic programs, faculty development and evaluation, curriculum design, institutional articulation and partnerships with other academic institutions.
As an academic scholar, she has actively pursued her interest in drama and the works of Arthur Miller which led her to serve in the founding of the International Arthur Miller society, as the society's second president, and on the executive board. As a society officer, she has coordinated international conferences, refereed papers and contributed to the society newsletter. She has presented at conferences and published in her field. Today, she serves on the editorial board of The Arthur Miller Journal, published through Penn State University Press.
She also has used her writing and public relations skills to support important community organizations, serving on the Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee (as past president) and Kiwanis International.
