Tonya Meisner joined the mathematics faculty in the fall of 2011. She is a UW-MarinetteAlum who grew up in the area as well. Her teaching experience includes being a math teacher in the public schools for eleven years and also teaching courses online. Working with all ages of students in mathematics has given her the experience to understand that students learn mathematics differently. As the Developmental Mathematics Coordinator on campus, her goal is for students to have success in mathematics and she has implemented a module-based, mastery learning system for a number of math classes to help meet that goal.
