College 4 Kids Show Stoppers Theatre Camp Takes Center Stage

By UW-Marinette

Twenty-eight aspiring young actors and actresses are taking part in UW-Marinette’s College 4 Kids Show Stoppers Theatre Camp at Marinette Middle School. During this 5-week program students are learning new stage skills such as vocal projection, articulation, and how to memorize lines, in addition to life skills such as teamwork and confidence. Campers are participating in a variety of theatre games and rehearsals that will prepare them for a final performance for friends and family on the last day of camp.

College 4 Kids is also offering 3 other exciting summer programs through UW-Marinette’s Continuing Education Department including Movin’ to the Beat music class on Tuesday evenings in July, Art Camp, July 21-25 and Science Camp, August 11-15.

Thanks to generous support from the Menominee Area Arts Council, UW-Marinette Children’s Theatre Parent Volunteer Coalition Scholarship fund and anonymous donors, many children who would otherwise be unable to attend camp because of financial reasons have been awarded financial assistance to attend. If you would like more information about upcoming programs including Movin’ to the Beat music classes, Art Camp or Science Camp please visit If you are a business or organization who would like to sponsor a student, please call 715-735-4300 ext. 4342.
