FAQs

Where do I find my User name and Passwords?

Visit the user portal and enter in your campus, name and security questions to find out your user name and password for your campus logon, D2L, E-Mail and PRISM accounts.

My password doesn’t work!

After too many unsuccessful attempts to log on, you account will lock you out, either in PRISM, E-mail or the computer network. You must come to the IT Department (L-126) with photo identification and your accounts will be reset.

All of a sudden, my floppy disk does not work in the campus computers!

For some odd reason, floppy disks are not compatible across all operating systems or computers, especially if you have an older computer at home. You are treading on thin ice if you rely on this technology. If you use floppies, a good practice is to copy your files on 2 disks and keep the original on your hard drive at home. Many students have come 15 minutes before class to print out their papers and the disk has crashed. Solutions? 1. Use a USB drive. 2. E-mail the file to your email account and open it when you get to campus. 3. Burn the file to a CD.

Where can I purchase a USB drive?

The most convenient place is the Campus Store in the Main Building. They are also for sale at office department stores, computer stores, discount stores or on the Internet.

Where do I get my ID card?

ID cards are taken in Student Affairs during certain hours the first two weeks of each semester. After that, just request one from Student Affairs.
