Theatre Camp: June 18-22 - 9am-3pm
Join us for our Theatre Camp where participants ages 6-18 will learn the aspects of being part of a production in a real live theatre setting. They will learn theatre language, stage presence, costuming, set creation and so much more. At the end of the one week session, Annie KIDS will be performed for the public. In Think, Explore...Psychology, students will learn about the human mind and behavior, and do mini experiments. Morning, afternoon, and full day sessions are available. Breakfast and lunch are included. Visit https://ce.uwc.edu/marinette/catalog/gifted-talented-week to register.
Hands-On Fun Week: August 13-17 9am-3pm
Our Hands-on Fun Week is sure to be a great time for participants ages 6-18. Students will learn the basics of American Sign Language including introductions, fingerspelling, feelings, and much more.
The Robotics/STEM class will focus on skills needed to be successful in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers. It will introduce students to skills such as sketching, measurement, teamwork, problem-solving, reading diagrams, and meeting criteria. This will be accomplished by class discussion, and projects using everyday objects and some not so everyday objects. This class will be very interactive, hands-on, and group work based. Students will also see and drive robots used in competitions and underwater robots (ROVs), Raspberry Pi’s, Arduinos, and other technology. Participants will then be able to go outdoors and learn new sports such as Two-hand Touch Rugby, Ultimate Frisbee, Kubb, and Netball.
