Course Prerequisites

Course Description

This course is designed to provide the practical skills and knowledge that students need to become effective entry level pipe modeling designers in a shipyard or marine design agency.

In this course, Learners will complete six Learning Plans in which they demonstrate their competence by:

  • Interpreting a schematic
  • Modeling parts and associated equipment
  • Creating parts and fittings
  • Assigning pipe runs to categories and systems
  • Identifying interferences with structural and insulation parts
  • Creating penetrations
  • Creating spool drawings
  • Creating arrangements drawings
  • Managing revisions
